Fantastic views

In close proximity to Porth Neigwl  in Llanengan, this semi-detached property was in need of refurbishment together with an extension to the side and rear to provide more contemporary accommodation.

The original house has extremely low ceiling heights. We used a recessed entrance/porch area, which hovers barely above head height, to emphasise the two-storey height of stairwell, carved out of the footprint. This is a generous space which provides a strong sense of space  on entering the house.

The main living accommodation is situated to the first floor to take advantage not only of the views over Porth Neigwl but also of the roof volume to create a large spacious Living Room.
